What gets signed
The launch is a single Solana transaction with four parts:
create_v2on the pump.fun program. It creates a Token-2022 coin and its bonding curve. The creator of the coin is set to the payee's creator vault, and you are the user who pays.- A zero-SOL transfer to the TelePump registry address. It moves no money; it only makes the launch findable in chain history.
- A memo naming the payee, the coin and its ticker. See On-chain registry.
- Compute budget instructions so the transaction lands quickly.
The coin's mint key is generated on the server, signs the transaction once and is discarded. Because it has already signed, the transaction can't be altered without becoming invalid.
Dev buy
A dev buy is sent as a second transaction right after the coin is created. create_v2 and a buy together don't fit into a single Solana transaction, so they're split. Your wallet approves both at once.
Because the buy is a separate transaction, someone else could trade between the two. For large dev buys this can cost you a worse price.
If the dev buy fails, the coin is still launched. The result screen tells you so.
After launch
- The coin is live on pump.fun and tradable immediately.
- Creator fees from every trade accrue to the payee's vault.
- The launch appears under Recent launches within a few seconds.
