Choosing a payee
Who can receive creator fees, and how usernames are matched.
Who can be paid
Any public Telegram @username:
- A person. They claim from their own Telegram account.
- A public channel. An admin of the channel claims.
- A public group. An admin of the group claims.
The username must be 5–32 characters long, start with a letter, and contain only letters, digits and underscores. This matches Telegram's own rules.
How names are matched
Usernames are case-insensitive. @Gram_Cat and @gram_cat are the same payee and share one vault. The leading @ is optional.
The payee doesn't need to know
You can launch a coin for someone who has never heard of TelePump. Fees wait in their vault until they claim them.
Don't use a username to impersonate someone or to suggest they endorse your coin. Launching a coin "for" a person doesn't mean they approved it. See the Terms of use.
Usernames that change hands
Telegram usernames can be released and taken by someone else. Fees always follow the username, not the account that held it at launch. Whoever owns the handle when claiming receives what's in the vault.
